The Pacific Resilience Program Phase 2 (PREP II) comprises a series of projects aimed at enhancing the resilience of coastal infrastructure in the densely populated areas of the capital Majuro and the island of Ebeye.
The Task Force Behind the Scenes
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the PREP II project in the Republic of the Marshall Islands has remained on track, thanks to the dedicated efforts of a team of top-tier locals along with expert international consultants.
Although forced to work remotely over the period of the pandemic, the team has been able to maintain close collaboration with local stakeholders, including government departments responsible for climate change and other critical issues. This has enabled them to keep the project moving forward and achieve significant progress despite the challenges.
The World Bank’s additional monitoring and evaluation responsibilities have provided valuable perspectives to further enhance the project’s success. The project team, as highlighted in the table below, ensure a comprehensive and effective approach to delivering the PREP II program.
